International Business, Minor

About the Minor


The minor in International Business is designed to provide non-business majors with an overview of international business concepts/issues. Developing a global perspective is the goal of this Minor and includes the study of management, economics, and international business. This background will be useful for students intent on working in organizations that are diverse, inclusive, and built on teamwork. This minor will strengthen the background of those pursuing a degree in Global Media, Global Studies, Math, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, etc.

Core Courses (20 credits)


BA 101    International Business & Culture

BA 260   Principles of Management

BA 363   International Organizational Behavior (BA260 prerequisite)

EC 210   Macroeconomics

BA 344   International Marketing (Required to be taken after BA101, BA260, and EC210. Can be concurrently taken with BA363)

One Additional Course (4 credits)


BA 232   International Business Law

BA 340   Principles of Marketing (EC 211   prerequisite or permission from the instructor)

BA 386   International Finance (A grade of C or better in EC 210  and Junior Standing)

EC 350   International Economics (EC 210   & EC 211   prerequisites)

GFS course (requires approval of the Chair of the School of Business)

Other course (requires approval of the Chair of School of Business)
