Graduate Dean’s Distinguished List

The Graduate Dean’s Distinguished Honor List, issued twice yearly, recognizes graduate students who have completed a minimum of 15 graduate semester hours and have attained a grade point average in the upper 10 percent of their programs. Eligibility for the Graduate Dean’s Distinguished Honor List is determined at the completion of each fall and spring semester.
Graduate Honor Societies
Alpha Epsilon Lambda: The College of Graduate Studies sponsors the Phi Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda, the national honor society for the promotion of academic excellence for graduate students and students at professional schools. The mission of the organization is to confer distinction for high achievement, promote scholarly leadership development, promote scholarship and encourage intellectual development, enrich the intellectual environment of graduate institutions, and encourage high standards of ethical behavior. Graduate students seeking membership must have completed a minimum of 15 graduate semester hours and have been placed on the Graduate Dean’s Distinguished Honor List for the previous semester. In addition to attaining a grade point average in the upper 10 percent of their program, students must provide a record of leadership and service to the campus and the community.
