Accreditation


Arcadia University is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and approved for teacher education by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, New Jersey, New York and other states (through reciprocity agreements).

The American Medical Association approves Arcadia University for pre-professional education in medicine and allied health fields.

The Department of Chemistry is approved by the American Chemical Society.

The Doctorate in Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.

The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs has accredited the master’s degree program for the Physician Assistant Program.

The M.S. in Genetic Counseling is accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.

The MA in Counseling program is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council, and qualifies students to sit for the National Counselor’s Examination (NCE) and/or licensure in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court accepts Arcadia University degrees to register law students.

The Forensic Science Program is accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission.

The University’s School of Business is a member of the AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the Middle Atlantic Association of Colleges of Business Administration (MAACBA), the American Institute of Graphic Design and the Service Members Opportunity Colleges. Documents of accreditation may be reviewed in the President’s Office by appointment.

Students who complete the Master of Public Health are eligible to sit for the National Certifying Exam for Health Education Specialists (CHES).
