SO 492 SAGSS Capstone

4 Credits
This course is for sociology, anthropology, and GSS majors in their final semester at Arcadia. Students will carry out an independent research project from start to finish on a topic of their choice. Students will learn how to formulate a research question, conduct research related to that question, and write a research report. Students can choose from a variety of senior thesis types, including theoretical literature review, social policy analysis, and empirical research. The course culminates in a completed senior thesis.

Spring

Prerequisite: Prerequisite: This course is only open to seniors majoring in sociology, cultural anthropology, or gender & sexuality studies. Students must have a major GPA of at least a 2.0 in order to enroll and must have passed SO300, or an approved alternate course.
