SO 300 Research and Writing for Sociology

4 Credits
Introduces both qualitative and quantitative sociological research methods, beginning with research design and ending in data analysis. Teaches students to read and digest sociological research studies and to synthesize empirical research on a given topic. Students will conduct data analysis on a topic of their choosing. Students will also carry out several writing assignments geared towards the development of literature review skills.
Prerequisites: SO101 and two sociology major electives. AUC designations: RW and QR
