HA 302 Managed Care and Health Insurance

This online, asynchronous course will introduce the concept of financial management in U.S. healthcare organizations. Learners will examine and discuss concepts involving health insurance, third-party and prospective payments, and managed care organizations. Fundamental concepts of insurance risk management and various types of managed care organizations are discussed in relation to the consumer, provider, and insurer.


Prerequisite: HA150 or permission of the Health Administration Program Director
