FA 239 Illustration III (4 Credits) This course is designed for illustrators who are eager to expand their individual mark-making language, strengthen their capacity for visual problem solving, and develop unique strategies for maintaining a personal artistic practice. Students will be challenged with creating illustrative two- and three-dimensional work using unconventional media and methods. Through a variety of group and individual assignments, this class will encourage artistic growth through critical thinking and process related risk. The semester will culminate with a collaboratively produced art exhibition showcasing original works by the entire class. Six critique and studio hours weekly plus independent work.
