FA 376 Advanced Digital Fabrication/3D Printing (4 credits) This course builds on the skills acquired in FA276 and explores advanced concepts and techniques in digital fabrication, with a focus on 3D printing technologies. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of various 3D printing methods, laser cutting, materials, and applications. Through hands-on projects and theoretical discussions, students will develop the skills necessary to design, optimize, and produce complex 3D-printed objects. Advanced projects will meet students in their chosen area of study and seek ways for students to blend their area of study outside Digital Fabrication into the classroom assignments. A greater understanding of the technical aspects of the printers are incorporated and students will play a significant trole in the processing of their own projects from start to finish.
Prerequisite: FA276 or permission of the instructor
