PBH 380 International Maternal and Child Health (4 Credits) Using the social and ecological model of public health along with other relevant frameworks, this course introduces students to international maternal and child health issues. The course explores how various social, political, and cultural factors such as beliefs, practices, and norms shape policies and programs on reproductive health. Through analysis of case studies, students will critically analyze the underlying causes of inequities in access, use, and quality of maternal and child health care in different cultures and settings, and how to address these issues from the perspectives of equity and social justice.
