MU 386 Audio Engineering II


(4 Credits)
This course is designed for students who have taken Level I and are interested in continuing to learn to operate a digital audio workstation (DAW) to make sound recordings such as original songs, music soundtracks, podcasts, and audio content for the web. Students will produce, engineer, and mix their own recordings in both individual and group projects, covering fundamental audio skills including MIDI sequencing, microphone recording, sampling, and audio production.

Prerequisite: MU 286  or with instructor’s permission if the student has proven to have a substantial background in audio engineering.
