PY 203 Health Psychology

(4 Credits)
Introduction to Health Psychology explores how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape our health. Why do some people maintain healthy habits while others struggle? How does stress impact the body? This course examines psychological theories behind health behaviors, illness, and well-being, with real-world applications. In this course, we will review empirical evidence of how popular health psychology theories can help us understand people’s health and, as a student, you will be challenged to use your understanding of these theories to create an intervention of your own! Perfect for students interested in psychology, public health, or medicine, this fully online, 6-week course is engaging and practical. Psych 111 is recommended but not required. Sign up to discover the powerful mind-body connection!
