About Health Sciences, Minor
The growing landscape of healthcare offers many and varied opportunities to address the health needs of individuals through health systems, clinical practice, and the broad health ecosystem, while also being mindful of societal health impacts and disparities. This Health Sciences major (B.S. and B.A.) will provide students with a grounding in the medical and clinical aspects of healthcare as well as the social underpinnings of disease and wellness. Students from other programs can also minor in health sciences. The major and minor is offered through the College of Health Sciences and includes interdisciplinary coursework in health sciences, healthcare administration, public health, statistics, and biology/chemistry.
This minor is designed for students who are interested in health-related disciplines to supplement their existing major. It allows for familiarity with health topics in health systems and the broader health field and determinants of health outcomes.
