The BA/BS in Marketing provides students with an understanding of those activities in an organization related to promotion, consumer behavior, product development, distribution, and global positioning. The foundational courses in the curriculum include accounting, economics, and statistics which prepare majors for the more challenging topics covered in marketing research, consumer behavior, and international marketing. Two upper-level marketing electives allow students to focus on areas linked with their career interests such as Sport Marketing, Agri and Food Marketing, and Business Analytics.

Courses are taught using teaching methods such as case analysis, experiential exercises, simulations and live projects. Faculty with research and professional experience offer real-world examples of marketing in action. All majors complete a required Internship near the end of their program where they witness first-hand the merging of theory and practice.
