About the Program

This specialized program is specifically designed for students in the Optometry combined program and is granted only after acceptance into Salus University after three years at Arcadia, and completion of a year’s work at that institution. Students in this program must select a conventional major, probably in either chemistry or biology, that can be completed by spending a fourth year at Arcadia.
Requirements
(68 credits as listed below, with Undergraduate Curriculum requirements and electives to total 120.)
Course substitutions in keeping with a student’s intended career can be made with the approval of the program adviser.
Three or Four Biology Courses
One of the Following Courses in Biology or Chemistry:
Minimum of Four Electives
(or five courses if BI 211 is completed) in Chemistry, Physics or Biology. Included must be either BI 490 or CH 490 .
Two Mathematics or Computer Science Courses
Recommended Courses
- PL 255 Symbolic Logic (4 Credits)
- One year or more of a Modern Language.
- Appropriate Mathematics electives.
