About the Minor
Agribusiness is a field with immense career opportunities that requires a combination of expertise within the fields of Biology and Business. In order to address an increasing demand for trained professionals in this area, Arcadia University offers an interdisciplinary minor in Agribusiness that is open to students from all majors, although it is expected that most students will draw from Business, Biology, Scientific Illustration and/or Public health majors.
Requirements
(24 credits as listed below)
Five Core Courses
EC 211 Microeconomics
BA 260 Principles of Management
BA 343 Agriculture and Food Marketing
BA 366 Agribusiness Management
BI 341 Plant Physiology*
*Students will be advised to take BI101 and B102 before any of the BI courses in the list above
One elective course from the following
BI 322 Plant Biology*
BI 328 Marine Biology*
BI 328 Ecology*
BI 329 Conservation Biology*
EC 330 Natural Resources Economics**
Any other relevant Biology course taken with the approval of advisor.
*Students will be advised to take BI101 and BI102 before any of the BI courses in the list above
**EC330 has EC210 and EC211 as prerequisites. Students minoring in Agribusiness from other departments outside of School of Global Business will be allowed to enroll in EC330 with just EC211
