Secondary Education 7-12 Certification Requirements
The Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education (Grades 7-12) is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree and who seek to qualify for Pennsylvania Teacher Certification at the secondary level in the following content areas:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- English
- General Science
- Math
- Social Studies
Education Courses Tier 4
Requires completion of all professional education and content area courses.
- ED 471 Graduate Student Teaching, Secondary (6 credits) (credits not applicable to master’s degree or culminating activity)
OR - ED 583B Fieldwork (3 credits) (for candidates who hold an active and valid Instructional I or II level certification - credits not applicable to the degree or culminating activity)
