About the Program
The Master of Education with concentration in Secondary Education prepares students who wish to qualify for state teaching certification while simultaneously earning their master’s degree.
Requirements (30 credits)
Foundation Courses (6 credits)
Chosen with the adviser.
Concentration Courses (15–18 credits)
Chosen with the adviser. The student and advisor will create a program of study to meet student goals and plans.
Electives (3–9 credits)
Chosen with the adviser.
Culminating Activity (3 credits)
Arranged and designed in consultation with the adviser at the time of completing the Degree Candidacy Application. A Practicum or Field Experience may not be used as the Culminating Activity for master’s degrees in Secondary Education.
