Autism Graduate Certificate
The 12-credit fully online Autism Certificate offers the coursework and practicum relevant to professionals in order to work effectively with those diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The coursework is designed to develop and enhance effective educational practices to support educators, school districts, and community-based organizations. Practicum hours in each course are designed to help students understand the connections between coursework and the direct work with individuals with autism. Arcadia students can apply to the Autism Certificate alone, or they can earn additional credits to complete a master’s degree, with school approval and confirmed admission into the selected program. Autism Endorsement
Students seeking the PA Certification, should also apply for the Autism Endorsement program. The 12 credits* have been approved by the PA Department of Education (PDE) as an Autism Endorsement. To obtain an Autism Endorsement, the candidate must make application to PA Department of Education after completion of coursework. A valid PA Instructional I or II certification is required to be eligible for this program. * Recognized and Endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Transfer Credit: Transfer credit is not permitted in this program. All students completing a graduate Education certificate or other non- degree program are required to submit an AU Graduate Program (non-degree) Completion form. |
