About the Minor

The minor in International Relations, Diplomacy & Law supplements many major programs, including Political Science, Law and Public Policy, Global Studies, Displacement and Human Rights Advocacy, International Business and Culture, Criminal Justice, and Media & Communications. The minor enables students to understand how power and political processes operate, to  gain real-world knowledge of international affairs and trains students to understand theoretical frameworks of international relations and law, as well as the applied skills of diplomacy, political and policy analysis, and critical thinking. 

Requirements

Two required courses: 

• PS 140 Introduction to International Relations (4 Credits)
• EC 210 Principles of Macroeconomics (4 Credits)

• Four or more elective courses, drawn from below, to be approved by the Program Director for Political Science. At least one PS course at the 300 level must be taken. Additional courses may count if approved.

• PS 240 U.S. Foreign Policy (4 Credits)
• PS 243 Introduction to Peace and Conflict Resolution (4 Credits)
• PS 281 Model United Nations (4 Credits)

• GFS 300 level course - must be approved (4 credits)
