About the Degree


A Bachelor of Arts in Conservation Biology is offered through the Department of Biology. The program provides students with a strong foundation in ecology, evolution, and biodiversity while emphasizing the scientific principles and practical skills needed to address contemporary conservation challenges. Through coursework, field and laboratory experiences, and a faculty-mentored Senior Capstone project, students develop expertise in ecological research, environmental monitoring, and scientific data analysis. Graduates are prepared for entry-level careers in environmental science, wildlife conservation, and natural resource management, as well as for graduate study in ecology, conservation biology, environmental science, and related fields.
