About the Program

This Majors Abroad Program (MAP) has an interdisciplinary focus on politics, history, international relations, French language, French and Francophone cultures.

The Major in French and Francophone Studies strongly encourages the student to spend one or two semesters abroad in France. Visit Civic & Global Engagement for more information. Students may choose to spend a semester abroad in another French speaking region or country, for instance, at l’Universite de Laval, Quebec.

Students who plan to teach French or Spanish at the K-12 level should visit The School of Education for certification program information.
