Physician Assistant, M.M.S.

Degree Requirements (116 credits)

The Master of Medical Science degree is awarded after completion of the following requirements:

1. The program’s curriculum with a minimum GPA of 2.70 maintained throughout the program.
2. All courses and clinical rotations with a grade of “C” or higher.
3. Successful completion of core competency exams, comprehensive written and practical exams.

Clinical Year (48 credits)

Arcadia offers ten (10), four-week long (summer, fall, spring) Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPE) which are supervised student encounters with patients that include comprehensive patient assessment and involvement in patient care decision-making and which result in a detailed plan for patient management.

• For the (3) three Clinical Electives, you will be asked to indicate your preferences and interests in the following areas:

  • Cardiothoracic Surgery

  • Dermatology

  • Infectious Disease

  • International Rotations

  • Neonatology

  • Neurology

  • Neurosurgery

  • Orthopedic Surgery

  • Pediatric Subspecialties

  • Interventional Radiology

  • Pain Medicine and Rehabilitation

  • Rheumatology

  • Trauma Surgery

  • Urology

  • Other medical and surgical subspecialties 

  Clinical Electives will be arranged by program faculty considering preceptor and placement availability. 

  With approval of the program, students may suggest as many as (3) three of their own Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences or rotations. These external rotations will be arranged by the Program to ensure that the experience meets all clinical rotation objectives.
