PT 801 PhD Movement Science Dissertation 1-6 Credits This one to six credit course supports PhD candidates in the final phase of their doctoral studies, focusing on the development, execution, and completion of the candidate’s original research proposal in movement science. Students will work closely with their advisors to collect and analyze data and synthesize findings into a well-structured dissertation. Emphasis is placed on advancing knowledge in areas such as biomechanics, motor control, and rehabilitation science, while developing critical skills in research methodology, scientific writing, statistical analysis, and presentation. Successful completion and defense of the dissertation is required for the conferral of the PhD degree.
Prerequisite: Student’s must complete the required PhD program coursework and successfully defend their dissertation proposal prior to enrollment in this course.
