CJ 296 Victimology

(4 Credits)
This is an introductory course to the field of victimology.  Students will explore the dynamics and impact of victimization with a focus on the following crimes: sexual violence, family violence, child abuse, and homicide.  Additionally, the course will analyze the criminal justice system’s response to victims as well as victim compensation and rights.
