(4 Credits) In this comparative study of the structure and function of vertebrate and invertebrate organisms, the lecture emphasizes evolutionary adaptation leading to solutions of environmental challenges. Laboratory exercises include observation and dissection of representative animal examples to highlight structural adaptations that determine function. This course must be completed prior to enrollment in BI 490.
