About the Minor
The minor in Studio Art introduces students to the techniques and methods of art and provides an understanding of the creative process. These studio courses, in combination with an Art History course, give students a greater familiarity with cultural background in art. Since the program encompasses the basic courses, students can elect to explore advanced courses.
Requirements
(23 credits)
Students who want to minor in Studio Art should consult with the Department Chair. Note that students majoring in Studio Art are ineligible to minor in Studio Art. (50% of the courses representing the minor must be completed in the Department of Art & Design at Arcadia University)
Three Art and Design courses (9 Credits)
Selected from the following:
Three Studio courses (Minimum of 10 credits)
In one of the concentrations, students must take two courses, an introductory level course and an advanced level course. The remaining course can be in another area.

- Metals and Jewelry
- Painting
- Photography
- Printmaking
One Art History course (4 credits)
