About the Program
The Master of Arts in Education (M.A. Ed.) with a Concentration in Music program is individualized and planned with the adviser. The foundations courses provide knowledge basic to all aspects of education. The concentration courses focus on a discipline other than Education. A minimum of 15 credits of the degree program must be taken in Music; the remaining credits must be in Education.
Requirements (minimum 30 credits)
- Foundation Courses: 6 Education credits
- Concentration Courses: 15 Music credits, chosen with adviser.
- Electives in Education: 6 Education credits
- Culminating Activity: ED 599 Culminating Master’s Project (3 credits)
Note: All students completing a graduate Education degree are required to complete a Degree Candidacy Form with their academic adviser after completing 15 Arcadia graduate credits. Degree Candidacy is the academic program plan required for the degree and must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies.
