About the Secondary Education Master’s Degree Program
This program is designed to allow students seeking certification in secondary areas to attain a master’s degree concurrently. The degree is not required for certification, and individual requirements for certification may vary based on academic experience. The program must be planned with an adviser to insure that degree and/or certification requirements are satisfied.
Master of Education Degree Program Requirements (M.Ed.)
(a minimum of 30 credits)
Secondary Education Concentration
Foundation Courses (6–9 credits)
chosen with the adviser.
Concentration Courses (15–18 credits)
chosen with the adviser from the following:
Electives (3–9 credits)
chosen with the adviser.
Culminating Activity: 3 credits
Please Note:
All students completing a graduate Education degree are required to complete a Degree Candidacy Form with their academic adviser after completing 15 Arcadia graduate credits. Degree Candidacy is the academic program plan required for the degree and must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies.
