The Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts is a flexible and vibrant major for those who are dedicated to theater and seeking preparation for a wide range of career options inside and outside the field. Theater Arts majors take an interdisciplinary approach to the art form, in keeping with the philosophy of a liberal arts education. This degree allows students to deepen their knowledge and build their skills in many areas of theater: performance, playwriting, technical theater, design, stage management, directing, dramaturgy and education.
B.A. candidates participate actively in the life of the University through numerous campus productions of the Theater Arts program. Students also benefit from Arcadia University’s proximity to Philadelphia and New York City through field trips to noteworthy productions, internships with professional companies, and mentorship with working artists.
