About the Program
The Master of Education with a concentration in Language Arts is designed to meet a student’s interest and goals in deepening their understanding of literacy studies. This program is recommended for students who are not seeking teaching certification.
Requirements (minimum 30 credits)
Foundation Courses (6 credits)
Chosen in consultation with the adviser.
Concentration Courses in Literacy Education (15–18 credits)
Chosen with the adviser.
Electives (6–9 credits)
Chosen in consultation with adviser.
Culminating Activity (3 credits)
Designed in consultation with the academic adviser at the time of completing the Degree Candidacy Application.
