Building upon the proud liberal arts tradition of Beaver College, the College of Arts and Sciences at Arcadia University provides a liberal education for citizens of the 21st century.

Faculty and staff in the College of Arts and Sciences devote themselves to lives of teaching and scholarship in support of this mission through integrated learning, personal attention and global awareness. Faculty members are committed to providing education experiences to ensure that students become masters of one field but are further able to apply multiple lenses to their endeavors upon leaving Arcadia University, whether in the workplace, graduate school, or in a life of service. Students in the College receive a broad-based education, becoming informed and active participants in the global community while pursuing deep training within their chosen discipline.

Each graduating student, both in undergraduate and graduate programs, completes a senior project or culminating activity, all of which are presented to the campus community during Thesis Week. We are especially proud that many of our students also present their work at regional, national, and international professional meetings; are co-authors on peer-reviewed journal articles; publish their creative works; display their art work in juried exhibits; and receive accolades and awards.
