ED 317 The Literacies of Social Studies, Science and Language Arts

(3 credits)
This course explores literacy through learning to teach writing across different disciplines (science, social studies, and language arts) and different contexts (home, community, workplace, and school). Through an integrated fieldwork experience, students will work with elementary aged children to write together as historians, scientists, and poets, honing skills to be able to identify these ways of knowing.

Prerequisite: ED 110 , ED 201
