MU 174 Band Ensemble – Director Ed Etkins

(2 credits)
The objective of this course is to develop and improve students’ performance skills in a variety of band music genres and to further an understanding of the musical arts. A further objective is to enhance the students’ perception of the aesthetic values of major artists and significant repertoire through the rehearsal and performance of appropriate musical literature.

There is no performance music fee for this course.  May be taken more than once for credit.

Prerequisite: Musical performance skill of a reasonably proficient level is necessary, previous concert or marching band experience is highly desirable.
