EN 229 Voices of America

Study of diverse voices that comprise the American literary heritage. This course explores the relationship of the texts to the intellectual, historical and social conditions that produced them. Sample authors include Sherwood Anderson, Toni Morrison, Sherman Alexie, Edwidge Danticat, Alison Bechdel, Sandra Cisneros and many others.

Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or above.
