PY 142 Research Methods


(4 Credits)
This course introduces students to a range of research techniques used in psychology. Topics include observational and experimental research design, sampling, assignment to groups, assessment, the logic of causation, and data analysis.

3 class hours weekly/2 hours lab.

Prerequisite: No prerequisites are needed for this course. All psychology majors are encouraged to take this course in their first year as it is foundational to, and a prerequisite for, other required courses in the major.
