SO 101 Introductory Sociology

An overview of the discipline of sociology is presented. The focus is on social groups and their effects on individuals. Content areas cover culture, social structure and social change as well as an introduction to social research. Additionally, special emphasis is placed on stratification in society in terms of social class, race, gender and sexuality. Includes class discussion and group assignments.
